We have this week been told that due to the current situation, King Edwards Five Ways School will not be accessible to our hockey club at this current time. We have therefore been working hard to secure a facility for Saturday matches and in particular, our Junior Training Sessions.
From Sunday 27th September, our Junior Training will recommence at Ormiston Forge Academy (B64 6QU) at the following times;
10am-11.30am for ALL children
Please note that we must follow incredibly strict guidance in order to keep everybody safe, and therefore, the below must be adhered to at all times!
- ALL parents MUST complete the following England Hockey Participation Form (click link) on behalf of their children a minimum of 48 hours before attendance at their first session (this only needs to be done once).
- ALL parents MUST register their child/children as badgers on the Pitchero site (click link) and confirm in advance of any training sessions they will attend as this will form part of our track and trace compliance with England Hockey (please note that parents and spectators DO NOT fall inside this capture).
In addition to the above...
- Parents of under 16s must remain on site for the duration of the session as coaches are not to administer first aid or take children to the toilet.
- Social-distancing must be observed by parents at all times.
- All participants must bring and use their own equipment including sticks, shinguards, gloves and water bottles - no equipment is to be shared.
- Club equipment such as balls and cones must not be touched by hand by anybody other than the coaching team.
- It is advised that all equipment is left for 72 hours and then cleaned after every use.
- A self assessment in line with NHS advice is to be carried out by anybody attending and if you are showing any symptoms of Covid-19 or are currently self-isolating you must not attend.
- If symptoms develop or you test positive for Covid-19, you must inform the OHHC Covid Officer immediately (details will be regularly circulated via our E-Bulletin and social media, or you can message us for details if required).
Please note that the above guidance will be strictly enforced and we ask for your assistance with delivering a safe and compliant sessions. To avoid being turned away on the day, make sure you have registered your child/children on the England Hockey Form AND registered on Pitchero.
Finally, due to current lockdown measures in Sandwell, we currently DO NOT have access to toilets or changing rooms whilst on site at Ormiston Forge Academy. We are working with the school to arrange this if possible and will update everyone with any changes.
