Chairman Update
Match Day discipline issue to consider. Club Umpires acted fantastically. Individual involved has issued apologies. 16-day ban issued by Midlands Hockey. No further action required.

The Club will undertake a review of first Aid and Accident Reporting process.

Proposal to organise a First Aid Course for members to increase the amount of First Aid qualified individuals. No cost to members to receive this training.

DBS checks being processed to ensure all relevant members have the correct documentation in place for safeguarding.

Annual Awards Evening
Tickets will be available shortly to purchase via Pitchero for the 2024 End of Season Awards Disco on Saturday 20th April 2024. Tickets will be priced at £15.00 per person to include food.

After discussion, the committee have decided that catering will be provided by external caterers using a woodfired pizza oven - both vegan and gluten free options will be available.

DJ Ollie Clarke has been booked (by popular demand).

Awards categories confirmed and rules/guidance have been put in place around award nominations and distribution.

Finance
Treasurer provided in-depth report on finance after reviewing and reconciling income and expenditure. Confirmation received that the Club’s financial position is strong.

Treasurer and Club Captain to work together on proposals for membership/annual subscription payment reconciliation system.

Year End has been brought forward to end of April.

Draft budget for 2024/25 to be presented at the next committee meeting for comments with full Year End Accounts and any proposals in relation to budget or fees to be made ready for the AGM.

Club Captain / Summer League
Men’s Summer League - Still looking for a second Captain for one of the Men’s teams. If you are interested, please speak to your captain or any member of the committee.

Ladies Summer League – Ladies have been entered into Pool 2 (one team).

Further communications around summer league dates to be distributed soon.

Club Captain to discuss next season with existing team captains and report back on which captains are wishing to remain in post and suggest proposals for training provision for 2024/25.

Club Kit
Leisurewear samples were brought to the committee meeting for an initial look and feel. Kit to be made available through Pitchero/Club website and O’Neill’s web shop. This should go live very shortly.

Communications
We have added to socials content including team specific posts and newsletter. We are looking to develop this content further.

Another call out for volunteers to run/create social media content alongside our current team, including those who want to take photos. Please inform your captain or committee if you are interested.

Matchday photos will also be uploaded to our website with credit given to respective photographers.

We will undertake a full review of graphics and templates over the spring/summer.
