In 2004, OHHC became the third in the Country to receive Hockey England's 'Clubs 1st' accreditation, which carries with it 'Clubmark' accreditation from Sport England. This officially recognises the Club as being dedicated to providing a safe, efficient and child friendly environment for hockey, and builds on our longstanding committment to youth development and links with the local community.

To achieve accrediation, a club must provide evidence against 28 criteria relating to welfare, playing, equity and club management. Documentary evidence is provided through a completed assessment file and practical evidence by way of an England Hockey Nominated Officer visit and interview.

Clubs 1st is part of Sport England Clubmark, a nationally recognised accreditation for all sports clubs. You can find out more about Clubmark via this link .
